It is located on the right bank of the Chepelare River , 189 km from Sofia and 10 km south of Asenovgrad , and is directly subordinate to the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church . The monastery is known and appreciated for the unique combination of Byzantine, Caucasian and Bulgarian culture, united by the common faith.History The monastery was founded by Prince Gregory Pakourianos , a prominent Armeno -Georgian statesman and military commander in Byzantine service, in 1083. He set up a seminary for the youth at the monastery. The curriculum in the first place included Christian religion, as well as mathematics, history and music. In the 13th century, Iberians lost the domination over the monastery, but their traditions were preserved until the beginning of 14th century. An Armenian manuscript gospel of the monastery, from the 10th century, is now preserved in the Bulgarian National Library in Sofia. During the time of the Second Bulgarian Empire , Bachkovo Monastery was patronized by Tsar Ivan Alexander , which is evidenced by an image of him on the archs of the ossuary’s narthex . It is believed that the founder of Tarnovo Literary School and last patriarch of the mediaeval Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Euthymius , was exiled by the Turks and worked in the school of the monastery in the early 15th century.Although the monastery survived the first |

Amplified Youth $3.01 This is a book about the new rock-and-roll fever, about being young, and crazy for music, and for the moment”s brightest stars. This is a book about the ritual of a rock concert, and it captures that spirit of celebration–its sound, sweat and raw energy–in conversely rigorous black-and-white. Backstage, in live performances, in portraits of the bands and their audiences, Sindaco catches the credibility and attitude of the new generation of stars in the genre that won”t quit, showcasing underground legends including the Editors, Art Brut, Maximo Park, Animal Collective, The Cribs, Cazals and Babyshambles from a stunningly intimate point of view. These are our youth culture”s new pagan gods, and if you can”t be there at the altar, Sindaco brings them to your doorstep. Preface by Alan McGee, founder of the Creation and Poptones labels and the former manager of Oasis and the Libertines text by Christian Zingales, the Editor-in-Chief of Blow Up |

George Beverly Shea was born in Winchester, Ontario, Canada on 1 February 1909, the fourth of eight children of Rev. Adam J. When I was 18, my dad was pastoring a church in Ottawa, and … More: |

Excerpt: Youth Conference is a large scale three-day Christian event held in numerous places around the world. The originating event, YC Alberta, is held in Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta. YC is managed by Extreme Dream Productions, a division of Extreme Dream Ministries. YC is unique from similar Christians music festivals like Creationfest in that attendees must buy tickets to attend all main speakers and concerts, not just the ones they choose. YC Alberta 2007 was held on May 25-27, 2007 at Rexall Place. YC Alberta 2008 was held on May 23-27, 2007 at Rexall Place. YC Alberta 2009 was held on May 22-24, 2009. YC Alberta 2010 will be held May 28-30, 2010. YC was organized by the Alberta district of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). The first YC was held in 1994, with a group of 500 students. After being held for several years at the Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta, the conference outgrew the facilities and moved to Edmonton’s Coliseum in 2000. In 2005 YC branched out to hold an event in Ukraine, which was very successful. YC is still expanding, with an event held in Winnipeg, Manitoba and one planned in Belize as well. Each year, YC has a different “theme” that expresses what organizers wish attendees to focus on during the weekend, which starts on Friday, goes through Saturday, and ends Sunday evening. On Friday, YC kicks off in Rexall Place, usually with a light and fireworks show. Then comes a contemporary worship service, followed by a speaker. Then the evening ends with a concert. On Saturday morning, there is another worship service, after which two speakers present. At noon, the attendees are released to eat lunch, and browse the many afternoon activities YC offers, like workshops, numerous concerts, indoor games, exhibitors, and … More: |

Christotainment $29.99 For more than two thousand years Christian expansion and proselytizing was couched in terms of ”defending the faith.” Until recently in the United States, much of that defense came in the form of reactions against the ”liberal” influences channeled through big-corporate media such as popular music, Hollywood movies, and network and cable television. But the election of Ronald Reagan as a Hollywood President introduced Christian America to the tools of advertising and multimedia appeals to children and youth to win new believers to God’s armies. Christotainment examines how Christian fundamentalism has realigned its armies to combat threats against it by employing the forces it once considered its chief enemies: the entertainment media, including movies, television, music, cartoons, theme parks, video games, and books. Invited contributors discuss the critical theoretical frameworks of top-selling devices within Christian pop culture and the appeal to masses of American souls through the blessed marriage of corporatism and the quest for pleasure. |

The planned Teaching content is focused on one word (or phrase) that is significant to the Christian faith (Commitment, Suffering, Simplicity, Blessing, Peace, Abundant Life, for example). Each lesson concludes with Sending, an intentional ritual that helps youth create SMART goals, ways in which they will practice some element of being a disciple. * The weekly pattern of Tending, Teaching, and Sending is an intentional plan for spiritual formation, learning, and discipleship. * Churches, parents, teachers, and youth will have a sense of progression and intentionality in teaching material that is important to the faith. In six years students will encounter 192 words and Scriptures. * Sunday school classes will be able to complete the annual material and still have weeks they can fill with seasonal, timely (LinC, for example), or local-interest lessons.* Youth will experience Christian community and participate in practices of the faith.* Each youth will make the lessons relevant to him- or herself through the practice of developing his or her own SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Revealed, and Time-Limited). * Teachers will have images, additional activities, training, denominationally specific material, additional background, and links to music from the CD-ROM/Website.* Teachers will be able to choose a lesson plan that suits them from the two provided.* Classes will have the benefit of being able to use the video material from the related DVD Discussion Starters.Claim the |

Christian Worship Song Favorites youth?
I chose the music for my youth group. Let me clarify what I am looking. Looking for contemporary music, early music and hymns are not bad, but not what I'm looking. I'm looking for songs in the style of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Hillsongs, etc. A number of things. 1. I am surprised by the lack of respect people, he should not have waited so long. 2. I am grateful you all answered it honestly. 3. specific songs would be nice but anyway I thank you for your messages. In addition, some examples of songs that we have been or are being King Sing One Take Me In (which has been said, I know) How great is our God
I was leading worship for youth during some time now, and ….. much more modern songs really good questions such as: the inside – Hillsongs United Nothing but the blood – Matt Redman Inspire you – Thousand foot crutch Beautiful Lord – Leeland All I Want – The future of forestry desperate – All Hillsong United – above Lifehouse – Who Hillsongs London is a God – Tonight the stars Angela Pinkston Speech – The Glorious Unseen I Fall – Spur58 Until I See You – Hillsong London You and Me – The Future of Forestry, like Grace Rain – leading many of them are more down-key to try to mix with song tempo … But it is young love the truth and ask … they are the most faith, worship, deep relationship that young people seek. Hope this helps.
