A Pen and a Path is a hands-on, practical resource for people who want to explore their relationship with God through writing. Unlike other books that focus on writing itself, Sarah Stockton focuses on the discoveries made–about one’s self and about God–through meditation and creative journaling. Stockton, a spiritual director and writing teacher, walks readers through thirty-five separate topics, which can be read and worked on in order or in any sequence of interest to the reader. Topics explored include religious understandings such as how God is envisioned, how religious training formed (or didn’t form) the reader, and how we envision ourselves as spiritual beings. Other chapters explore life stages: childhood, teenage years, elder years, as well as marriage, parenting, and sexuality. Focusing on emotions such as grief, shame, anger, and loneliness, as well as feelings about work provide readers with the opportunity to explore nearly any aspect of their life of faith.Sarah Stockton is a writer, writing teacher, and spiritual director. American Killers

American Killers

$14.48

Christian Alexander presents ‘American Killers’, a dark and often macabre tail about a teenage boys struggle with his own loss of innocence, and the addictive pursuit of stardom and subsequent obsession with movies and the world from which they are made. With an undertone of religion mixed with continual philisophical discussions through the black humour of the protagonist, Christian Alexander depicts the obsession we have with an American society and it’s influence’s on the world today. Be it the Hollywood mentality, ‘where anyone can become famous’, or the supplemental tragedy of mass murder being a solution, to not having achieved that ideal fame, Christian Alexander presents a ‘cult’ classic marking acknowledgement to our own obsession with the movies we love and their prescence in our own lives.

Chapters: List of Arrested Development Characters, George Michael Bluth. Excerpt: George Michael Bluth George Michael Bluth (born March 2, 1990), played by Michael Cera is the teenage son of Michael Bluth on the television series Arrested Development . Fictional character biography He is a student, and he works at the family frozen banana stand, where he is quickly promoted by his father to “Mister Manager.” George Michael’s role in the show involves his trying to keep his crush on his cousin a secret, as well as his closeness to his father, Michael. As a running gag in the show, George Michael is almost always seen wearing his shirt tucked in. He is reunited with his cousin Maeby in the first episode, and developed a crush on her after she forcibly kissed him (to teach their parents a lesson for not letting them spend more time together, although it fails because their parents are entirely oblivious to it). He is always polite, generally a motivated student (especially to make his father proud), and later reveals that he is always punctual and never late for events (which he perceives as an interesting talent, but is obviously uninteresting to everyone else, none of them having noticed) because he has a perfect sense of time, calling himself the “human metronome.” In the second season, George Michael started dating a definitively unexciting girl named Ann , a devout Christian whom his father (and Maeby) dislikes and constantly forgets about. George Michael’s relationship with Ann is actually little more than a means of distracting his lingering feelings towards Maeby. Season 2 ends with George Michael and Maeby kissing, to his delight. After the incident, the two try to avoid each other for much of the third season. Later in the third season, he and Maeby accidentally get

Bible Bites: Food for Thought Every Day

Bible Bites: Food for Thought Every Day

$9

Quite often we associate the term ‘devotional’ with warm fuzzy thoughts; pleasant little nothings which give us a short-lived buzz that we soon forget as we go through our normal routines. However, true devotion is radically different from this idea. The word ‘devote’ literally means to give entirely and completely. It is rooted in the concept of a vow. In the Bible, to devote something to God means to give it entirely to Him. The aim of these devotionals, or ‘devos’, is to challenge you to do just that. Are you devoting your studies, your friendships, and your family time. whatever, to God every day? These thoughts and challenges flow from the pages of Scripture through the life of the author, Keith Foster. He practices what he preaches. It is not the author’s intent to make us complacent with pleasant platitudes, but to challenge all of us to become fully devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. Keith Foster is responsible for youth and family ministries at Paulsgrove Baptist Church, Portsmouth. His work involves school and college Christian unions, Religious education classes, community outreach and church wide youth events. Keith has been married to Lesley for 22 years and they have two teenage daughters, Becky and Rachel aged 18 and 14.

 Bible Prophecies Of 9-11

Bible Prophecies Of 9-11

$12

This book represents an astounding new discovery of biblical proportions. Many felt they were witnessing an unfolding of Bible prophecy while we lived through the events of September 11th. The spiritual context was not really known, however, and it could not be explained. September 11th was more than just another historical event. It was, in reality, a cataclysmic moment marking the beginning of a new millennia. Many Christians believed a prophetic event would transpire and deliver a spiritual witness. Daniel was instructed that his words were to be closed up and sealed till the time of the end. (Daniel 12:8)We have discovered a chain of prophecies that all link to 9-11 with an astounding pattern. This pattern reveals ancient prophecies foretelling the events of 9 – 11 as including Iraq in fulfilling Bible prophecy. There are direct references connecting George Bush to America’s eagle wings to free Iraq.Paul Gregersen is a Christian, scriptural student, published author, ran for political office, an accomplished musician, and songwriter, who performs and teaches professionally. He is currently a talk-show host at Pocatello Vision 12, offering an open forum for politics, religion, or human behavior. Paul’s research allowed a proficiency at assisting those with spiritual and emotional challenges. Paul received national media recognition after he had warned them of a disaster two days before the Oklahoma City bombing, and was on the front page of a major western newspaper, which led to an appearance on a national call in program.Paul has been married to Launa for 20 years. They have 4 teenage children.

Vernon Howell had his name legally changed to David Koresh on May 15, 1990. A 1993 raid by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the subsequent siege by the FBI ended with the burning of the Branch Davidian ranch outside of Waco, Texas in McLennan County. Koresh, 54 adults and 21 children were found dead after the fire. Koresh was born in Houston, Texas, to a 14-year-old single mother, Bonnie Sue Clark. His father was a 20-year-old man named Bobby Howell. The pair remained unmarried. Two months before Koresh was born, his father met another teenage girl and abandoned Bonnie Sue. Koresh never met his father and his mother began cohabiting with a violent alcoholic. In 1963, Koresh’s mother left her boyfriend and placed her 4-year-old son in the care of his maternal grandmother, Earline Clark. His mother returned when he was seven, after her marriage to a carpenter named Roy Haldeman. Haldeman and Clark had a son together named Roger, who was born in 1968. Koresh described his early childhood as lonely, and it has been alleged that he was once gang raped by older boys when he was 8. A poor student who was illiterate and diagnosed with dyslexia, Koresh dropped out of Garland High School in his junior year. Due to his poor study skills, he was put in special ed classes and nicknamed “Vernie” by his fellow students, but by the age of 11, he had memorized the entire New Testament. There have been 71 documented cases where Catholic priests have been convicted and jailed for child sex offences in Australia, as well as others involving non custodial sentences and inconclusive proceedings. In 2007, Ross Murrin, 52, a former Sydney Catholic school teacher accused of indecently assaulting eight male Year 5 students at a Daceyville school in south-east Sydney in 1974, plead guilty to some of the 21 charges. The diocese has been referred to as the “epicentre of Catholic clerical sexual abuse in Australia” due to a number of paedophile priests with extensive abuse records being jailed since 1997: Father Vincent Ryan (a $6 million compensation payout to victims setting a record for the Catholic Church in Australia), Father David O’Hearn (due to stand trial in June 2010) and Father James Fletcher (died in jail in 2006).
