"Ramses" series by Christian Jacq?
I thought it was good. . . . I just had a problem with how unrealistic Ramses has portrayerd was "perfect" when in fact I am sure that the man had his faults as the rest of us. Anyhoo, for anyone to read, what do you think?
I really liked the series. I am sure that the intention the author was representing Ramses as "perfect" as an analogy to the sight of the Egyptians towards their pharaohs. Although Ramesses may have been flawed and not a string of supernatural, which was still the royal power in his time – the Egyptians really respect him and consider him the representative of the sun god (Horus) on Earth. =) I hope that helps clear why the author was Rameses, as the omnipotent figure.
