Night of the Living Dead Christian $14.99 “>What does a transformed life actually look like? In his follow-up to the critically acclaimed >Imaginary Jesus>, Matt Mikalatos tackles this question in an entertaining and thought-provoking way: with >monsters>! As Christians, we claim to experience Christ’s resurrection power, but we sometimes act like werewolves who can’t control our base desires. Or zombies—90 percent shambling death and 10 percent life. Yet through it all, we are longing to become fully human, the way Christ intended . . . we just can’t seem to figure out how. >Night of the Living Dead Christian> is the story of Luther, a werewolf on the run, desperate to find someone who can help him conquer his inner beast before it’s too late. By turns hilarious and heartbreaking, this spiritual allegory boldly explores the monstrous underpinnings of our nature and our quest for Christlikeness.>>>Product Details>>Page Count: 272>Release: 10/2011>> > > > > > > >” |

The Secret of Christian Living $6.5 “T he consuming desire of all true Christians is to be like Christ Jesus. Without doubt, such holy ambition is inspired by the Holy Spirit. For it is God’s eternal will that all who are called by Him are to be conformed to the image of His beloved Son. Yet how ironical it is that most Christians seem to undergo great frustration in failing to reach that goal. Does God plan it that way or do we fail to know and appropriate the provision of God? Thank God, He never calls without providing. This book is simple to understand and full of many helpful illustrations to assist believers in finding the way to overcome and walk the victorious Christian life which the Lord has called us into. A companion volume to the classic, THE NORMAL CHRISTIAN LIFE.” |

|
Directions for Christian Living: An Introduction to Christian Discipleship $10.99 “The usefulness of a Christian is often determined by how hard they work at the foundations of their faith. Like a building, if the foundations are not solid then the whole structure is shaky. This book provides a summary of these foundations, essential knowledge for both new and established Christians. It explores the meaning of conversion, living day by day with Jesus, being filled with the Spirit, sharing our faith, talking and listening to God. Questions, Bible references and suggestions for further reading combine to make this an excellent resource for groups or for private study.” |

Theology for Practical Christian Living $22.99 “This book is written to express the paramount importance of understanding systematic theology in a way that impacts the lives of believers on a daily basis. My passion is to encourage God’s people to become Christ-centered with a dedicated and loyal heart to Him which will lead them to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Therefore, one motive for writing this book is to help believers to cultivate a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ through the study of the Word of God. It is also my desire that unbelievers will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through reading this book. My prayer is that believers will come to understand that God expects them to study and meditate in His Word daily and to apply His Word to their lives moment-by-moment. Dr. McCune graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and Biblical Counseling, a Masters degree in Theology, and a Ph.D. in Theology. In 1996 Dr. McCune founded the Church Equipping Ministries International (CEMI) Inc., presently headquartered in Temple Hills, Maryland. CEMI’s main focus is global evangelism. The Christian’s Warfare: It’s a Family Affair $15.99 “THE CHRISTIAN’S WARFARE: IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR As you read this book, you will come to see that victory over the obstacles we face in life is not just about His power or His presence but about your Positioning. Christ has promised us His power just as he has promised us His presence, but He leaves it up to us to be PROPERLY POSITIONED in certain areas in order that we might gain the victory. These areas are: Living successfully as Singles in a sex-crazed society Husbands loving their wives as Christ loved the church. Wives submitting to and reverencing their husbands Children obeying and honoring their parents Fathers not provoking their children to anger and discouragement Men becoming providers and not pimps in their home FRANCIS L. DAVIS is the pastor/founder of West End Bibleway Christian Fellowship in New Iberia, Louisiana. He is a passionate Teacher of the Word of God whose giftedness is not in how much he knows, but in his ability to make plain, and simple and exciting God’s truths. His next book, which will soon be available, is entitled: The Misbehaving Church. “This book acquaints the Saints with proper positioning strategies by providing us with a means to inspect what we expect based on God’s expectations for each of us. It addresses a basic premise, that behavior follows belief over a protracted period of time. Reformation can never truly change behavior, transformation of one’s belief system is required to behave differently. Misbehavior is a reflection of “mis-believing.” Many in the Kingdom will be blessed through this work. Thank you Pastor Davis for obeying the Spirit.” Sterling Lands, II DD Sr. Pastor, Greater Calvary Bible Church, Austin, Texas Sr. Pastor, FirstAfrican Bible Church, Dallas, Texas” |

‘Can-Do!’ Christianity $9.32 Circumstances can sometimes seem to crush even the most mature of Christians. So how do we develop faith in God’s ability to see us through? ‘Can-Do!’ Christianity is a word-by-word study of Philippians 4:13 in which the much-tested Apostle Paul states that he can do anything through his source of strength, Jesus Christ. This book makes a tangible connection between God’s Word and His work in the Christian’s life. A liberal sprinkling of anecdotes, illustrations and quotes keep it interesting, upbeat and an easy read that fits well with today’s busy lifestyles.Debi Derrick has taken the truths about how to live the Christian life and reduced them to simple, but profound rules for living. Following the instructions that you’ll find in this book will surely help you, as it has helped me, to live out the Christian faith. I strongly recommend this book for your reading.Tony Campolo, Ph.D.Professor Emeritus Eastern University St. Davids, PA 19087A professional communicator and avid student of the Bible, Debi Derrick is also a lover of good stories, especially the ones that make us laugh or feel like tomorrow will definitely be a better day. She calls herself a triple PK because of the many family members involved in ministry. And although she accepted Christ at an early age, she certainly has not been insulated from experiencing the traumas of life. She does, however, draw on these when presenting practical, down-to-earth views of God’s place in a Christian’s life. Debi lives in Texas where she is active in her church and community. |

365 Meditations For Men By Men $1.99 IntroductionMan’s search for meaning is the primary motivation in his life.—Viktor Frankl, Man’s Search for MeaningThere is a longing deep within every man’s heart to discover meaning and purpose in life; to lead a life of significance as opposed to a life of “success”; to live a life of adventure, conquest, and victory; to make a difference and leave a positive, enduring mark on the world. Yet, as Henry David Thoreau observed, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” Although Thoreau penned these words more than a century ago, they still ring true today. So many men—including devoted Christian men—wake up one day and realize they are leading lives of quiet desperation, silently “losing themselves” as they strive to meet unrealistic expectations, overcome mounting work and family pressures, and battle unrelenting temptations. These challenges can easily sidetrack men, causing them to lose their spiritual focus.Whether consciously or unconsciously, many men subsequently spend their time and energy and resources searching for significance in pursuits and people and things that can never fully satisfy. Some simply give up on ever finding lasting meaning and purpose in this world. Others find themselves somewhere in between. In any case, the result is often the same: a pervading sense of exhaustion, futility, or hopelessness.Yet there is a remedy to this cultural epidemic, and it is found in reclaiming and living out every man’s true purpose, which is found in God alone. As Saint Augustine wrote, “Thou hast made us for Thyself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee.” The apostle Paul expressed it this way: “Everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible . . . everything got started in [Christ] and finds its purpose in him” (Colossians |

A Cellular Communication Approach To Brief Marriage Counseling $11.54 This book makes use of cellular communication principles to present a concise and accessible counseling model for marriage couples as well as individuals in any covenant based relationship (nucleus family, church family, synagogue, & etc). The counseling model was derived from a special population: African American Pentecostal-Apostolic (AAP-A) clergy couples. A brief comprehension of AAP-A clergy couples uniqueness is presented as a self-understanding profile for counseling considerations. The Biblical theme of expressive love serves as an overarching framework for understanding the personhood in need as well as the key to maintaining marital health. The concept of love as a therapeutic essential is highlighted by sampling views and uses of love by prominent pioneers of psychology. Family systems theory provides a suitable framework for underscoring expressive love in a counseling context. Although the marriage counseling model is derived from a special population, it is adaptable for use with all married couples. Since expressive love is at the heart of this model, the approach is suitable for assisting anyone desiring to discover the true foundation of a wholesome and lasting marriage. Christian workers would benefit from the use of the Biblical based Love Communication Tower, as a means of improving communication within the fellowship. The model is also adaptable for aiding individuals experiencing a breakdown or blockage in communication, to begin to reestablish healthy communication.Dr. R.L. Parson Sr. is a marriage counselor, and senior Pastor of The Living Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ Of The Apostolic Faith Inc., Charlotte North Carolina. Also, Ronnie is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at William L. Bonner College, Columbia, South Carolina, where he also teaches Pastoral Counseling. A Christian Approach to Overcoming Disability: A Doctor’s Story $29.66 Learn how faith and psychological insight can combine to help Christians overcome physical disabilities! After being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, Dr. Elaine Leong Eng, author of “Martha, Martha”: How Christians Worry, knew she had to make important life changes. This genetic disease would soon cause her eyesight to fail. Her impending blindness meant that she would no longer be able to practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist. Her family life would never be the same, nor would her self-image. A Christian Approach to Overcoming Disability: A Doctor’s Story is the poignant and inspiring story of Dr. Eng’s ultimately triumphant struggle with an untreatable illness and a life-changing disability. Once I heard the diagnosis, I knew it was God’s way of granting my prayer to be a full-time mom to my babies. God had prepared my heart to accept this news. This so-called “tragedy” in my life was very much for the good. I had the chance to “see” and care for my children during those precious young years. To play with them, sing songs, teach them, feed them, and do all those wonderful mothering things that many take for granted. And now that they are grown, I can see in my mind’s eye all those great images and memories. I enjoyed motherhood so much that I would not have changed my life in any way if given the chance. This autobiographical book articulates the challenges faced by the blind and offers faith-based and psychological techniques for coping with disability. It highlights dozens of Scriptural passages that can provide an important foundation for coping, and draws upon Dr. Eng’s experience as a psychiatrist to identify important issues and feelings about blindness and its psychological and emotional impact on every aspect of life. In this insightful book, you’ll find: firsthand information about the experience of becoming disabled, and about living with, even |

Psalm 48 : 9. -’ We have thought of thy loving-kindness, 0 God, in the midst of thy temple.” The scenes and associations of our early days will always find a place in our memories and in our hearts. No change of time or circumstances can efface them from our minds. “When removed from the parental home, or the domestic circle, when away from the land of our birth, on a pilgrimage to a distant land, who will not cordially indulge in recalling, with deep emotion, the associations and incidents of the past ? Though the place of our early home may no longer be in the possession of our family relationship, yet the scenes around it will vividly impress us, and the events of the past will spontaneously crowd into our memory. Where are the generous minds and feeling hearts that have not often felt this attraction, or that would be willing, for a moment, to repress or weaken it? If the reminiscences bearing upon time and earth inspire deep interest, how much more must that interest be increased when connected with the exercise of Christian faith and hope, in their rise and culture, and with the teachings and influence of divine grace, in the worship of the sanctuary ? We have entered anew this time-honored place of worship, after it had been closed, during a series of weeks, for the purpose of being thoroughly repaired, in the aspect of renewed freshness and beauty which it now presents. Since it was first completed and opened for divine service, in 1V69, successive generationsworshipping in it have passed from time to eternity. There are numbers, now scattered in different parts, who recur to their ancestry, and perhaps themselves, as baptized, worshipping, and trained within these walls. There are very many, now living, who connect the earliest recollections of |

A Great Feast of Light: Growing Up Irish in the Television Age $15.95 There was no sex in Ireland before television. –Irish MP Oliver J. Flanagan, in the early 1960s The Globe and Mail’s celebrated critic John Doyle was born in the small Irish town of Nenagh in 1957; his father purchased the family’s first television set in 1962. By day, John was schooled by the Christian brothers in the valour of Irish rebel heroes and the saintliness of Catholic martyrs. But in the evenings, television conveyed more subversive messages: American westerns suggested to a bookish young John a model of manhood that had nothing to do with the rigid boundaries of small-town Ireland; and The Late Late Show, Ireland’s homegrown talk-show-cum-variety-program, brought sex into Irish living rooms, eliciting howls of protest from priests and conservative politicians. As the 1960s and 70s wore on, television introduced the dreams and the actions of the American civil rights movement to Ireland. When the Catholics of Ulster adopted the practices of marching and peaceful protest, television transmitted their clashes with the police, and later with the British army, directly into the Doyles’ home — and broadcast them far beyond as well. It pointed John in the direction of a wider world, inspiring his hopes for the future just as it yanked Ireland out of its past.Funny, insightful, and always engaging, this illuminating story of a boy and a country transformed by television is indeed a great feast of light. Unknown to me, on that night there were other forces, unseen, in the air. The Irish Television Authority was already at work, silently sending out signals from a transmitter at Kipurre in the Dublin Mountains. Throughout the country, pioneers and eccentricswere attaching aerials to their roofs and chimneys. In shops where televisions were ready for purchase, a set was occasionally, optimistically turned on to see if there was a signal. Later that mild summer of 1961, an electrical engineer in Limerick, fifteen miles from my backyard, |

Christian Family Living

What is the best state and city to live in the United States for a Christian family?
We intend to move quickly to the U.S., but we wonder what you think is the best place for a Christian family to live and why. Thank you!
Houston, Texas. Houston is a big city is a city very different. This means that we have many, many people and many different people. I think it important in the Christian life, because otherwise the church can easily become "The Church in the United States and a handful of people who agree with us and everyone else is going to hell. "This is not a good way to be. Jesus invites us to look with contempt on the other. These are some churches in Houston. http://www.lakewood. http://second.org/global/default.aspx cc http://www.fotw.org/ http://www.sacredhearthouston.org/ http://www.sjd.org/ http://www. chapelwood.org / Lakewood is, of course, the largest church in the United States. They bought the Compaq Center (where the Houston team Rockets, played basketball) and transformed into a church. They can have up to 18,000 people in the same service. 2 N Baptist approach slightly different, which has 5 campuses in the city instead of one large, and at Christmas and Easter to rent the stadium where the Houston Astros (our Baseball Team) play. My personal favorite (Fellowship of The Woodlands) only has many services for the holidays they do about 18 different services of Easter. I like big churches for a couple of reasons. The first is that a large church has a lot of SWAT. They can raise lots of money and I many resources to help people. If you have a problem in your marriage, your family, your work, you can go to church and someone may help … not only gives the telephone number of the county social services. This is particularly true when it comes to youth and programs for children. A large church has not only the resources to create a group of young Very cool, they also have enough people who can have a really great group Young. A large group of young people means that the group of young people can become in the peer group of children choices, with many friends and things to do, and children will think is cool and want to belong. (Where else in the world to find a peer group for young Christians today?) So instead of a blade-group "O youth of the church which is composed of five guys really geek parents are very strict so that no one wants to belong, and in some suburbs Houston, children are those few who are not in the youth groups of the Church. Because Houston has so many churches, especially large churches many religious have a strong presence in life in general. There is a strong Christian presence in life in general, and respect for religion that you will not see in other major cities. For example, we have several Christian radio stations. Http: / / www.ksbj.org/ http://www.khcb.org/ http://www.kkht.com/ and many Catholic schools and Christians to try even a name. Also, and this is very important, Houston JOBS. Many jobs. Love Money is the root of all evil, but this does not mean that God requires that whenever poor. You can not be a very successful family if someone is employed, and Houston is a great place to find a job now. Http: / / www.houstonjobs.com/ http://www.chron.com/ Housing is very good market also. http://www.har.com/ Also, if you live in Texas, you get access to the system of Texas State University, probably the better educational value for the dollar on the planet. UT, Texas A & M, and even the University of Houston, are excellent schools, but because oil has been found on land set aside for the university system in the 1930s, enrollment is still very cheap for residents. We http://www.houstonmuseumdistrict.org/default.asp?id=1 also have a lot of museums and a symphony orchestra and http://www.houstonsymphony.org/ http://www.texmedctr.tmc. edu / root / en Texas Medical Center of NASA and the largest rodeo http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/home/index.html this side of the galactic center and a good team http://www.hlsr.com/ professional basketball, a great http://www.nba.com/rockets/index_main.html http://houston.mlsnet.com/t200/ professional soccer team to a team of baseball http://houston.astros.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=hou suffers and a football team that is … So do not talk much about the Texans. I mean people LOVE Football Texas High School, who do not play for our team. Http: / / www.houstontexans.com/ So you do not have to renounce all the advantages a big-city life just live in a Christian envornment. Now there are some drawbacks. Houston is a big city, so we have crime, we have bad neighborhoods, (about 30% over two since coming in all the refugees of Hurricane Katrina) and we have pollution. Sometimes a lot of pollution. Power, was hot and miserable. It's flat here and I love, but many people say it's ugly. We have many bars, but we also have many restaurants and nightlife. We are not a theocracy and not as Calvin's Geneva. As I said we're a big city with a strong Christian Community, but we are still a great city. We have our fair share of bars nude (I'm not going to send you Linkstar them) and we have drugs and have a good size the gay community, but in Houston to go to gay church. However http://www.ststephenshouston.org/ think Houston is by far the best place in America Christan for a family to live, so I decided to raise my children here.
