Devotions for a young "Christian?
I am a sophomore in college, beginning my fourth semester, I was spared the fall my first two years of 2008 – I'm really starting to grow in Christ, but I'm still in beginning of my learning. In my time, I grew quiet through the Gospels, Acts and Romans. I am currently at the beginning of I Cor. I wondered if I in the right direction. "Where do I go now? Should I continue to work in the new covenant? Are there any books that I happen next? I just want to continue to grow, I really thirst for the Word of God, but I do not want to be confused or lost completely. I read the Gospels (Matthew, Mark Luke and John) and so they were very good and I'm sure I'll read again at some point, I pass (=
To be frank, I what might be called daily devotions in terms of a set routine. My employer varies from day to day, week by week and month month. There is period of time each day I spend in prayer. This period is longer and sometimes more intense than in any other occasion. But I'm not the type of person that works well in a very disciplined and structured environment. Others have a daily schedule that is much more common than are useful. I would if you take the amount of time I spend in the Scriptures as part of a week, would probably be considered a large number of studies. But make no distinction between the Scriptures and devotional study of Scripture. For me, the whole study of Scripture is an act of devotion and dedication to be an act of serious study. It is magical ten minutes of reading the Scriptures. I know People suffer a lot of responsibility for this because in some sub-Christian cultures is a kind of hope that everyone has a certain period of time per day reading the Bible and prayer. Scripture tells us not to meditate on the Word of God day and night so that our attention to the Scriptures must be dedicated and serious and rigorous. In fact, I recommend that people spend much more than ten or fifteen minutes a day studying the scriptures. But we must be careful not to impose the Christian Community a number of models of Bible study or prayer. We can not repair personal computers as evidence of devotion to the spirituality of others. This has caused great harm to people who do not work well in a highly structured approach to prayer and study. In addition, some of us are not so undisciplined pay attention to the serious matter of prayer and scripture study. What are our rights as Christians, and it is with pleasure that we Christians spend time with God. We pray for "Constantly." Jesus made a practice of subtracting stations devoted much time to prayer. If the sentence was something Jesus, seeing itself if necessary, how much more does it for us? I do not recommend my routine for others. But remember my work and vocation and the vocation is also a teacher of the Word of God, so I am forced to spend much time on it. Each person must learn for itself what works best for integration prayer and Bible study in everyday life.
